Mariah Buzza
MS, NCC
While working for a faith-based health care non-profit, Mariah felt a call to become a Mental Health Counselor and made a career transition into the field, obtaining a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024 from Divine Mercy University. She has experience working with children as young as 6 years old through a School Based Behavioral Health Program in the area along with adolescents and young adults who have endured significant trauma. Mariah has worked in an acute placement setting for high school students with significant behavioral health struggles and has experience working with adolescent depression, anxiety, psychosis, familial dysfunction, substance abuse, sexual trauma, suicidal ideation, and more. Mariah employs aspects of CBT, narrative therapy, and attachment theory to help clients and their families get to the root of behavioral health symptoms so that young people and their families can flourish!
Originally from a small town near Fresno, CA Mariah Buzza graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018. While in college, Mariah met her husband who is from the Pittsburgh area and the two moved here to live in the Steel City! While not seeing clients Mariah enjoys spending time with her husband and children, ice skating, and enjoying beverages from local coffee shops.
