I graduated from Duquesne University with a bachelor’s in Corporate Communications, and then went on to graduate with a Masters in School Counseling. I am currently a Nationally Certified Counselor and Certified School Counselor, as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
As a counselor, I believe in creating a trusting and safe place for youth to learn, grow, and heal from their experiences so they can lead a mindful and satisfying life. My counseling focus is strength-based and is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and families in both the school and home setting with developmental, school, and family problems.
As a program manager, I have a passion for connecting with others and exploring ways to help myself and others live life to the fullest potential. I have experience as a trip leader specialist developing and leading outdoor adventures for urban youth, college students, and families. Additionally, as a school counselor, I created and implemented school-wide programs and lesson plans to increase students’ academic achievement and social/ emotional wellbeing. I am a compassionate leader who is dedicated to developing and executing effective programming to help teens and families thrive in their communities.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending quality time with family and friends, and being outdoors. You can also find me surrounded by dogs, as I have an interest in dog training and promoting the benefits of the human animal bond.
I look forward to working with you as your counselor or seeing you in the community as part of the program team!
