Kaitlyn is Outreach’s Clinical Director, working with our talented team of outpatient therapists. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over ten years of experience working with children and their families in a variety of clinical settings. Kaitlyn most recently served as the mental health therapist for a school district in Washington County, providing individual and group therapy, advocating for students, and supporting staff and families in the district. Kaitlyn created self-care programs to support the teachers within the district and provided trainings to increase mental health education and awareness. She has also provided services in the Pittsburgh Public School District and neighboring Allegheny County schools to increase academic achievement and overall wellbeing. Kaitlyn has also worked as a Family-Based Therapist, providing in-home services to the family unit of a struggling child. She is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, receiving both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work with a focus on Direct Practice and Mental Health.
Kaitlyn believes in a whole-system approach to increase positive skills and uses an eclectic perspective to create a supportive and trusting space for children and their families. Kaitlyn is a Certified Family Check-Up Coach and is working toward a certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She is also a Certified Yoga instructor (RYT 200) and uses these skills to support mindfulness and positive coping with individuals and groups.
Kaitlyn resides in Mt. Lebanon with her husband and rescue pup, Snoop. In her free time, she teaches and practices yoga, baking, trying new local restaurants with her husband, and traveling to visit friends and family.
