Christina joins our team as the school-based counselor at Chartiers-Houston School District. She has a Master of Social Work with a certificate in Mental Health. She has experience serving children, adolescents, and teens in school-based settings and outpatient settings. Christina’s mental health path started at Slippery Rock University obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work, and then earning a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Pittsburgh.
Christina is a dedicated mental health clinician with a deep commitment to supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of children, adolescents, and teens. With a career rooted in empathy, compassion, and a client-centered approach.
Beginning their journey in the field of mental health, Christina started by working in prevention with middle school students in Pittsburgh Public Schools. In this role, she led psychoeducation groups focused on dating violence prevention, laying a foundation for their work with young people. This early experience demonstrated her ability to connect with and educate students about crucial topics in a compassionate and supportive manner.
Following this, Christina transitioned to a school-based setting at West Allegheny, where they served as a therapist. In this capacity, they continued to build on their expertise, providing individualized therapy and support within the school environment. Their client-centered approach ensured that each student’s unique needs were met with sensitivity and understanding.
Christina later expanded her practice to include outpatient work, offering part-time services that allowed for a broader reach and more flexible support options. Most recently, she joined the Charters-Houston School District as a mental health counselor. In this role, Christina continues to apply her extensive knowledge and compassionate approach to help students navigate their mental health challenges and foster their overall well-being.
Throughout her career, Christina has remained steadfast in their dedication to creating a safe and supportive environment for young people. Their work is characterized by a deep-seated empathy and a commitment to empowering clients through a compassionate, client-centered approach.
In her free time, Christina enjoys spending time with her cat, Zoey, and her family. She enjoys trying new things and seeing new places.
