Summer holds a master’s degree in Educational School Counseling and is a Pennsylvania-licensed K–12 school counselor. She also earned an MFA in Creative Writing and has several years of experience teaching English at the college level. She is continuing her graduate studies in counseling while expanding her professional experience.
Summer is passionate about supporting children, teens, and families as they navigate the challenges and transitions of growing up. She works to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where young people feel safe, heard, valued, and understood. Her work supports mental health and social-emotional well-being while helping young people build coping skills, emotional awareness, confidence, resilience, and healthy relationships.
Summer believes that meaningful, trusting relationships are central to effective support. She incorporates creativity, literature and storytelling, journaling, movement, time outdoors, and reflection into her work when appropriate. By meeting each young person where they are and recognizing their individual strengths, she helps create space for them to navigate challenges and continue growing.
Summer is excited to be part of Mt. Lebanon Teen & Family Outreach and looks forward to building relationships with young people and families throughout the community.
