Cyber Safety and Youth Technology Trends for Adults, to be held in Pittsburgh, PA, will provide professional educators, those who work with teens, and parents and with an overview of social media and youth technology trends. The course will review phone apps, cell phone use, social media use and misuse, and setting expectations. Ways to talk to young people about the wise use of their technology devices will also be discussed. Let’s create a digitally responsible culture among today’s Screenagers!
Cyber Safety and Youth Technology Trends for Adults will be taught by Ryan Klingensmith, MA, LPC, NCC, founder of Shape the Sky, a network of concerned adults who came together to enrich the online experience for their children through better education and more effective communication. Klingensmith has over two decades of experience working with youth with mental health disorders. He has worked in residential facilities and as an outpatient mental health provider with youth struggling with bipolar, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-harming, and suicidal behaviors.
This course has a fee of $30.00 for participants requesting continuing education. Instructions for payment will be included in your confirmation email, once registered. CEUs offered: 2.5
