Carol works primarily with Outreach’s Kids At Risk Effort (KARE) program, counseling children involved in the juvenile probation system, but sees other clients as well. Her areas of expertise include issues involving alcohol and other drugs, anger, attitude, children of alcoholics, conduct, obsessive/compulsive, peer and relationship, school, self-esteem, and social skills. Carol sees most of her clients at Outreach’s downtown office. She is also an Aggression Replacement Training (ART) facilitator.
Carol has a Master’s degree in Counseling and is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Nationally Certified Gambling Counselor. In addition to working at Outreach, she is the program manager of the POWER House, a drug and alcohol halfway house for women in early recovery, provides 12-Step meetings to female inmates at the Allegheny County Jail, and is a Eucharistic minister at the jail.
