Melanie McConnell has over 18 years combined in the field of medical, academia, leadership coaching and counseling. She is solution-focused counselor providing a mindfulness-based approach with positive psychology resources to support clients with stress management, anxiety, depression, life transitions, communication, organizational and time management issues and adjustment problems. She has experience with adolescents, adults and families at The Watson Institute, UPMC Neonatal Developmental Clinic supporting parents and infants, Highmark Caring Place for grieving children, mobile therapy and in private practice.
Melanie is a graduate of both Carlow and LaRoche Colleges and completed a master of science in counseling psychology from Chatham University in a dual program with specialization in Infant mental health. She is a yoga teacher and continues to teach at the college level as an adjunct instructor for general education studies and mindfulness courses.
